weekly write up 7/14/2024

trainerlyrawelp i survived another week. let's get to it
monday: fairly boring of a day! mostly spent time writing and playing zenless zone zero, which has NO right to be as good as it is lmao. it's just so much fun!! i pulled shark girl, because she's a shark so i had to pull shark girl:
it was my first and so far only pull on the limited banner lmao, so i will gladly take that. i'm going to save up for seth & lighter, so i'll be sitting on a ton of pulls for awhile most likely. other than writing & zzz, i spent some more time on my TRC reread! i don't remember much of so many of these arcs, so that's been really fun to go through. also therapy happened, and we talked a lot about the potential of actually TELLING my friends things that have happened instead of just. the cold hard facts and skipping over anything personal/emotional about it. it's been a week and i still have no idea how i feel about doing that, so i guess i need to keep thinking.
tuesday: more writing & zzz lmao. you'll notice that's how i've been spending a lot of my days... will continue to be spending them like that too.... but more of a chill day. it has been SO disgustingly humid here in boston that i haven't really wanted to do much. even with the a/c if i turn it off for just a moment moving becomes death and i want to crawl into a hole and never experience moisture again lmao. anyways, will randomly just. showed up at our place LOL he'd just gotten back from a trip the other night so i guess that's why. kyle was delighted and i was fine to have the place to myself for a bit to play zzz more LOL. they did pick me up some snacks from their walk tho:
the blueberry lemonade drink rocked. 10/10 will buy that again. oh, i also posted my first tanabata fest fic, which was for the free day! it was TB!seisub, going on a case together.
wednesday: as kyle had planned to leave late wednesday for his annual big paintball event up in PA, he took the day off to spend with me before he left. which meant aquarium! i was originally going to wear holy lantern out for its maiden voyage, but it was 90+ and 80% humidity and even in a/c i was like Absolutely Not lmfao. so instead, mermaid sweets!:
i love mermaid sweets, one of my all time fave liz lisa prints. the op version here is just soooo cute. i love the dainty sleeves. obsessed. and i didn't take a good pic, but that's my beefleaf ita bag! it is a shark. yes this was very intentional. it's also one of kyle's favorite bags i own so i thought i would be nice and bring that this time around. plus, it's an aquarium date! of course i need sharks! anyways, i brought joongdok with me to take a look around:
few things, i actually used to work at the aquarium! i worked in the "cold water" gallery, so with fish around the coasts here and the pacific. also, importantly, the octopus. anyways, it's always fun giving kyle (and random passerbys!) trivia or facts about the fish i used to work with, as a lot of them live for many years. like my favorite asshole blue lobster! after we got home, we mostly just hung out together until he started to pack and eventually headed out for his trip. i do not do very well when i am alone, so......... i was up until 4am waiting for him to arrive safely lol. i also got to post my second tanabata fest fic, for "separation, longing, & reunion". this was my first time writing an epistolary fic and it was a lot of fun, honestly. great format. i want to do more. i SHOULD do more.
thursday: bc he knows i don't do very well with being alone, j came over after he was done with work to hang out and keep me company. it was very nice! we didn't watch anything like usual, mostly just talked. we had a LONG debate over indian food about fire emblem three houses & three hopes, which was fun lol. other than that, just played zzz and did some writing, nothing unusual here. no kyle was weird and unfortunate for the first few hours of the day but j helped lmao. he also explained to me a bunch about the MHA ttrpg he's hosting that i am joining in on so! that was cool. the not so cool part was kyle forgot i told him not to throw food or wrappers out in the trash can next to his desk bc its one of those open mesh ones with no lids and it is directly next to where the ants had been getting in, so, uh, that wasn't fun to discover! the GIANT PILE OF ANTS next to his desk! thankfully they actually used the bait i put out immediately and seem to be pretty much gone now... i hate killing bugs, but i really can't deal with them in my house :(
friday: bc he ALSO knows i don't do very well with being alone, my dad came over for lunch! we were initially supposed to go out somewhere, but he called me about two hours after making plans and asked if i wanted to order pizza in instead lol. because he "didn't want to get dressed or deal with people". truly like father like daughter LOL i love my dad. we're very similar people. so lunch was really nice! we don't get a lot of chances to just. hang out, just the two of us like that, so i really had a nice time. i love my dad. other than that.... more zzz. more writing. the usual!
saturday: this was the slowest day in history. i wasn't even bored, reading xxxholic & playing zzz, i even had a nice breakfast:

but for some reason, everything was moving sooooooo slowly. there was a time i thought legit an hour passed and it wasn't even ten minutes. lmfao. so i ended up designating this as my selfcare day lol. as if i am not unemployed and doing w/e i want currently. but that meant i put on my eye mask and foot mask:
which i love. tonymoly foot mask you are forever my beloved. i also got to post (with some difficulty, as FFN was DOWN and i still use their text editor to import to ao3 for Reasons.......) my final tanabata fest fic, which was for "paper cranes". this one was the first one i wrote actually! i would apologize to the seisub tag on ao3 but i will not stop, so unfortunately I Cannot.
sunday: and now we are here! most of the day was spent... you guessed it.....playing zzz lmao. i did also clean the entire house bc when kyle isn't here i don't do. any cleaning. whatsoever. like not even putting dishes in my dishwasher........... so lmao. lots of cleaning. i cleaned the whole kitchen, living room, bedroom, folded laundry, and then went a step farther and cleaned out my desk drawers and my top shelf of my desk which is where a lot of my plush live to make room for the seisub plush that get here tuesday... so yes they will be my new oshikatsu babies for awhile lmao. and in between zzz and cleaning, i also got halfway through acid tokyo in TRC! the only arc i remember VERY vividly! lmao. and, of course, importantly, kyle came home!!! he went to bed at 9 bc he was exhausted after a 6 hour drive and weekend full of not great sleep and paintball lol, but i'm just happy he is in the house again. i will sleep my usual now :)
last week's goals? well i cleaned my desk & survived kyle's trip! but i did not finish two bingo fics rip. i did get halfway through like 4 of them though!
